Equality California, Prop 8, The unimaginable happened last night
I get these in my email, I thought I'd share.
The unimaginable happened last night
Dear supporter,
Yesterday, in the bluest of blue states, Massachusetts voters elected a right-wing, anti-equality candidate to the U.S. Senate seat held by Edward Kennedy since 1962. And the group behind Prop. 8, the National Organization for Marriage, played a major role.
The volatile electorate, coupled with fierce opposition determined to deny us equality, makes 2010 a critical year to preserve and expand our right to legal equality. We all must engage in this critical election year and do everything we can to elect pro-equality candidates. EQCA's political action committee only endorses candidates and works to elect those who are 100% in support of our rights. Make a contribution to Equality California's PAC so that we can protect our gains and continue to expand our rights.

With truly historic state races for Governor, Attorney General and Insurance Commissioner, as well as nearly half the California Senate seats and the entire Assembly up for grabs this year (and key U.S. Senate and Congressional races including Senator Barbara Boxer's seat) what happens in the next election will dictate not only who will fight for our rights for years to come but whether we can protect our gains and achieve true equality.
Please donate now! http://www.eqcapac.org/donate/facebook
You, EQCA members, can make the difference in these elections by working with our 20 field managers in nine offices throughout the state. We can only do this work with your support. Please, donate now!

Too much hangs in the balance to wait to get involved. Consider volunteering with our field team, and make a contribution to our PAC so we can target key races for support.

Let's all get engaged before it is too late.
In solidarity,

Larry Platt sings Pants on the Ground, an awesome original song that seriously needs to be recorded.
Pants on the ground
Pants on the ground
Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground
With the gold in your mouth
Hat turned sideways
Pants on the ground
Call yourself a cool kat
Lookin like a fool
Walking downtown with your pants on the ground
Get your pants off the ground
[Repeat like 500 million times over]

TO A NEW YEAR & DECADE!!! Goodbye to the worst year of my life!

Goodbye 2009, you were the worst thing that ever happened to me and I hate you and I won't ever forget it, even after death! You fucker!
Altho, I am finally living in my own beautiful home by the Sea (what I always wanted). I have new things this year that I have always wanted and have made new great forever kind of friends in my new city here, and experienced things I never had before, learned some great things and was taught a few a lessons! These are all good things...
But, It's timing is way off, or maybe it was meant to be this way? I never got to share this with My Dearest Grandma, Mother, Best Friend. It wasn't supossed to be like this.
It's all been bittersweet, when I find myself happy, I say "wait a minute", you can't be happy. You just lost the only thing that ever meant anything to you. So, It's happy filled with Sorrow.
It's so strange!... I can put down in words.
I did something today I was supossed to do 11 months ago & it feels pretty freakin' good!
In a way, to me it doesn't even seem like New Year's to me. Am I the only one that feels this way? It's weird, it went by way too fast!
Hopefully THIS YEAR & beyond people will start to care more about each other, this planet we live on, the animals we share it with instead... of celebrities...& go out & LIVE!!!!! Get all the things you wished & dreamed for done for yourself. Don't live thru others! love, care, share.
I HAPPEN TO GET A FEW SHOTS OF THE MOON WHILE I WAS DRIVING! DOESN'T DO IT JUSTICE! http://twitgoo.com/atd9y
I blast this song every New Year's,ever since the song came out!Cause it's the fucking truth! ♫ http://blip.fm/~ikkv5
I'm so glad it's over with!
